Character Design is the creation of consistent, production-ready character designs — model sheets, expressions and costume variations built to hold up across every format a character might later appear in.
A concept sketch is not a character system. Without turnarounds, expression sheets and documented proportions, a character drawn once will drift the moment a second artist, an animator or a merchandise vendor touches it.
